Samantha DeWitt
co-owner
Sam grew up on a row crop and farrow to finish swine farm in rural Hamilton County. She spent her childhood working in the family’s farrowing house and finishers, and eventually bred and raised her own show pigs for county fair. She earned the title of Iowa Pork Princess in 2006.
Upon graduation from Ellsworth Community College in 2007 and Iowa State in 2009, Sam worked full time writing manure management plans and overseeing marketing and promotion for an MMP service provider. In 2011, she became an Environmental Services Manager for a large swine integrator, continuing her career in environmental compliance: writing manure management plans, site placement and construction projects, facility inspections and farmer consultations.
Sam, her husband Dan, and their three children reside on a farm near Gladbrook in Tama County.
Seth Wengert
Co-owner, cCA
Seth grew up on a diversified farm that included corn, soybeans, hay, a dairy herd, sheep, and farrow to finish hogs. Seth showed sheep while in 4-H and FFA and used them to help pay his way through Iowa State University.
Seth graduated from ISU in 2007. He worked in both the retail agronomy sector and the precision ag industry before joining a large swine integrator 2011. For that company, Seth was involved with the environmental department where he wrote manure management plans, but also assisted the business development team in recruiting new contract producers. Walking producers through the process of building a new facility gave Seth expertise in helping farmers through the permitting and construction process. Seth is also a Certified Crop Advisor.
Seth, his wife Amber, and their two daughters live on the family farm near Clemons in Marshall County.
Courtney Blenner
Business Development
Courtney grew up on a hobby farm in SW Minnesota. She showed horses, sheep, and swine throughout her 4-H career. Her love for pigs grew as she helped a family member operate a 2,400hd nursery less than 1 mile her childhood home.
In 2012, Courtney graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelors in Animal Science. Her first job was with a top integrator where she spent almost 10 years working in swine production & business development in NW Iowa. She then went on to spend a few years as an account manager for a builder where she worked directly with producers building hog confinements.
Courtney, her husband Andy, and their two children live on a century farm near Schaller in Ida County.
